Arriving in Aberdeen via Air

Aberdeen has an international airport which is served by major airlines and provides an extensive network of travel throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. 

Once you have arrived in Aberdeen Airport, you can make your way to Aberdeen city centre and your accommodation by bus services or by taxi.

Travelling from Aberdeen Airport by bus

Aberdeen Airport to Aberdeen city centre

The Stagecoach Jet Service 727 runs from Aberdeen Airport to Aberdeen city centre and stops outside of the main airport entrance.

Aberdeen city centre to Hillhead Student Village

The First Bus Service number 20 can transport you directly from Aberdeen city centre to Hillhead Student Village. 

Information about travelling to the University of Aberdeen and Hillhead Student Village by First Bus services, including bus routes, timetables and tickets can be found here.

You can pay for your ticket on First Bus services by cash (no change is given), contactless or by using the First Bus app.

Travelling from Aberdeen Airport by taxi

There is a taxi rank outside of Aberdeen Airport.

You can also pre-book a taxi from nearby to Aberdeen Airport. If you are pre-booking a taxi by phone call, make sure to state whether you will pay for your taxi with cash or card when you are booking.

Arriving in Aberdeen via Bus or Train

Aberdeen Bus Station and Aberdeen Rail Station are both located on either side of Union Square Shopping Centre. Both stations provide regular links across Scotland and other cities in the UK such as London. 

Once you have arrived at the Bus Station or the Rail Station, you can make your way to your accommodation by bus services or taxi.

Travelling from Aberdeen Bus & Train Stations by bus

The First Bus Service number 20 can transport you directly from Aberdeen city centre to Hillhead Student Village. The nearest stop to Aberdeen Bus Station and Aberdeen Train Station is on Guild Street.

Travelling from Aberdeen Bus or Rail Station by taxi

There is a taxi rank in Aberdeen Rail Station, which can also be accessed from the Bus Station by heading through Union Square Shopping Centre. 

You can also pre-book a taxi from nearby to both the Bus Station and Rail Station. If you are pre-booking a taxi by phone call, make sure to state whether you will pay for your taxi with cash or card when you are booking.
