A series of bitesize videos exploring wellbeing skills and topics. These videos have been developed using the learning, knowledge and experience gained through various accredited courses such as Scottish Mental Health First Aid, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, as well as practical lived experience, and aims to provide basic foundational skills and knowledge around each topic.

This video gives a foundational overview of common mental health concerns of stress, anxiety and depression. It looks at possible causes or triggers, signs and symptoms and some suggestions of things that can help, as well as looking at unhelpful patterns of thinking and how to challenge these.

Privacy / Confidentiality when providing support

This video discusses privacy and confidentiality when supporting someone, and the balance between agreeing to keep information private and our duty of care as staff to those that we support. It explores how we might communicate this to those we are supporting and how to empower the individual in a crisis or distress situation.

Risk & Protective Factors - a holistic view

This video looks at what is meant by risk and protective factors for mental health and wellbeing, and explores individual frames of reference, and how we can take a more holistic view when providing support. Having this understanding can help ourselves and our own reflections, as well as when supporting someone else. It also touches on the 'Circle of Control' model and 'Stress Bucket' exercise.

Individual Wellness Plans

This video gives an in-depth overview of Individual Wellness Action Plans, what they are, how to use them and how they can be a positive and proactive tool to support, and talk about, mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
