At the end of March, AUCEL members accompanied our Energy Transition LLM students to a visit to Edinburgh to visit the Scottish Parliament and the offices of the renewable energy company Nadara.
We had the opportunity to immerse ourselved in the heart of energy law and policy with a productive visit to the Parliament, starting with a fascinating tour. We then had the privilege of meeting with Mark Ruskell MSP to discuss the work of the Net Zero, Energy, and Transport Committee.
After soaking in the sights on a sunny walk, we arrived at Nadara, where their legal team shared insights into their global practice in renewable energy development. The trip was supported by the School of Law Edication Committee and led by AUCEL's Scott Styles and Daria Shapovalova.
Daria Shapovalova, said “Trips like these are essential in providing our students with a well-rounded understanding of how energy law and policy are shaped in real-world settings.”
