Institute Administration Assistant (Maternity Cover), Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition
An opportunity has opened up for a member of staff to join the administration team of the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN) on a part-time (0.5FTE) basis to cover a period of maternity leave. The post holder will be located in the Polwarth Building on the Foresterhill Health Campus as part of the MBChB team in the Institute of Education in Healthcare and Medical Sciences. You will be an integral part of the administration team with varied duties relating to the administration of the various academic programmes with duties such as, room bookings, student attendance monitoring and clerking of various committees. At various times you may also be involved in supporting research.
Research Fellow, Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition
The School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN) has a long history of developing novel imaging technologies, especially in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). In 1980, The University of Aberdeen performed the world’s first diagnostic MRI scan of a patient, using a scanner invented and built in Aberdeen. Based on this legacy, the University of Aberdeen continues to promote and push the boundaries of MRI technology development.
Research Assistant, Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to join Dr Candice Quin’s group at the University of Aberdeen to work on a project, which investigates factors that contribute to age-related immune remodelling and the development of frailty in older adults, funded through the Academy of Medical Sciences. This project involves data analysis using the UK Biobank dataset. Ideally, the applicant would have experience with large-scale biomedical data like the UK Biobank, particularly in statistical analysis or bioinformatics.
