Biography
Jamie is a Cartographer in the School of Geoscience. Having joined as a trainee in 2016, he has since gone on to work and study at the University reaching a MSc level.
Since 2023, Jamie was given responsibility for the Drawing Office (Cartography) which is considered to have been established with Geography in 1919.
I began my career as a draughtsman in Aberdeen's energy sector before turning to more creative persuits in the Scottish Highlands gaining a BA at UHI. Always having an interest in the world through Cartography, I now implement my design skills and the tools of GIS to produce maps and offerings the Drawing Office has long provided for Geosciences and the University.
