Venues

We want the conference to be as accessible as possible - with that in mind we've selected venues that are accessible to those in wheelchairs, or with restricted mobility and can provide hearing assistance if required. Assistance dogs are also welcome.

Please note that both Stagecoach and First Bus - the two major local operators both use low floor access busses on most routes. More information on other accessibility initiatives are available on their websites.

Please help us to ensure we meet your needs by indicating any requirements when you register.

Getting Around

P & J Live

P&J Live is well served by Stagecoach - bus numbers 727, 9A and X9 Services run through the complex regularly.  The 727 funs from the bus station in the city centre, via P&J Live to the airport - return.  The 9A/X9 services run between Stonehaven and Inverurie and also stop in the city centre and at P&J Live.

You can find out more on the P&J website.

Music Hall

The Music Hall is situated on Union Street in Aberdeen City Centre.  The city centre is easily accessible from throughout the rest of the city - no matter where you are staying.

Elphinstone Hall

Elphinstone Hall is on the University of Aberdeen's Old Aberdeen campus - located to the North of the city centre.  It is accessible from the city centre via the following bus routes:

  • Number 20, from Guild Street (near Aberdeen Bus and Train stations), links the city centre with the main Old Aberdeen campus, and the Hillhead Halls of Residence.
  • Number 19, from Broad Street, opposite Marischal College, passes to the west of the University along Bedford Road and stops near the Sir Duncan Rice Library.
  • Numbers 1/1/A/1B and 2 travel along Union Street, the city's main thoroughfare, King Street and pass the University. Alight just after the King's playing fields on your left.

To get to Elphinstone Hall from P&J Live - you can either take the 727 route into the city centre and then use one of the above options, or if you are able and want to add some active travel into your day, alight from the 727 route at the junction of Great Northern Road and St Machar Drive - and walk down St Machar Drive to the University campus - it is about a 15-20 minute walk.
